Star Map Support
(Open Source) Star Map shows the real sky for wherever you are: stars, planets,
constellations, deep-sky objects and satellites, plus what to look at tonight.
Everything is unlocked, with no ads or accounts.
Common fixes
- The sky doesn't follow my phone: tap the compass button at the bottom. If it points the wrong way, wave the phone in a figure-8 to calibrate the compass, and allow Location so the app can use true north.
- Wrong place or time: open the menu, then Location, and turn on automatic location or pick a place. The clock button sets the time back to now.
- No ISS alerts: turn them on in Settings, then Alerts, and allow notifications for Star Map in iOS Settings. Alerts are worked out for the next few days each time you open the app.
- No weather or photos: those need an internet connection. The sky itself works offline.
